August 2, 2009 - Album Release Party

Our brand new self titled lp and cd comes out this august on Perpetual Motion Machine Records and in Europe on the Italian label Sons of Vesta. Recorded by Mike Kutchman at Sea Side Lounge in Brooklyn, NY, Artwork by Garek Druss, Design by Charles Watlington and Photos by Dan Boersma. 7 SONGS with close to 4o minutes of music. We are very proud of how this turned out.

We leave the next day for two weeks of playing shows and one week of hanging in north carolina working on a new album.

april 9th, 2008 in rva - first out-of-town show

this is our second show and it will be in richmond, va - once home to mike and brian. we are playing three out-of-town shows in a row and before stopping off in dc to record a few new songs. please come out to one of these if you are in the area. catalyst is leaving the next day for an european tour so come out and support these stoners. looking forward to this one. rock!

april 8th, 2008 - first ancient sky show

this is the very first ancient sky show. we have been working on these songs for about 6 months and are looking forward to trying them out live. the band consists of:

brian markham - guitar, vocals, tape loops and other random noises

mike ballard - farfisa organ, trombone and vocals

john henry - bass 

pat broderick - drums and extra percussion

the show is in greenpoint, brooklyn at this local bar matchless. they have a buy one get one free special on all drafts that night so at least come out and get drunk. 

duane pitre is a brooklyn based composer, performer, improviser and sound artist. expect to be droned and poned.

pontiak are post stoner dudes living here and there and meeting up this night to bring the psyche jams.

will be a fun night! 

andy cross did the artwork for this flyer and our  good friend charles watlington did the design. looking forward to collaborating with these guys on our first album.
